We are a friendly inclusive club with something for everyone: a challenging course for the experienced golfer, a blue tee course for the beginner or older member, an active ladies section, regular mixed foursomes, frequent social events and a magnificent catering team.
To join the Club new applicants will need a proposer and seconder from within the current membership. We recognise that golfers moving into the area may not yet know anyone at the Club, so the Secretary will arrange a game for you with members who can fulfil this role. He will also provide any assistance you need to complete the application process.
If you would like to apply for membership of Piltdown Golf Club, please contact Phil Bonsall the Club Secretary for further information.
We are an inclusive Club, and we take Safeguarding of vulnerable people very seriously. As well as a Junior Safeguarding Policy, we also have one in place for Vulnerable Adults. Please click here to read it.
See the note below written from a happy new member:
Dear Phil, This is a long overdue note to express just how impressed I am with the course and Club at Piltdown.
Although I’m relatively new to the membership, I’ve been lucky enough to play at some of the best courses in the U.K., Europe and the US over the years and the course and its condition is among the best I have ever experienced. Even since I joined in September, the changes you, Matt and the team have made mean that it just seems to get better and better. The greens in particular are amazing (if a little too quick for my talents!). I know I am benefitting from years of investment, and it seems to me to have been well worth it.
Also, the welcome I have received from everyone at the club (staff and members) has been extraordinary, and it feels like I have been at Piltdown for years already which is the best compliment I can pay. In an era where many golf clubs are struggling, I think we genuinely have something special at Piltdown and I feel very privileged to be a part of it.
So this is really a huge thank you. It’s a great course and a great club.
